Imbema Cleton has joined the Green Award programme as an Incentive Provider. This is a recognition of our contribution towards improving and raising awareness of quality, safety and the environment in the maritime sector. “We’re extremely proud and happy that the sustainability of our products and concepts has been recognised. The award also encourages the entire organisation to think even more in terms of being green and improving safety,” says Eric van Leeuwen, Sector Manager for the Offshore, Maritime & Process Industry.
Imbema’s lubricant solutions for the maritime sector are particularly characterised by their reliability and sustainability. These lubricants produced by Lubrication Engineers reduce friction, and consequently help lower energy consumption. They also last longer, so reduce waste. Applying the Viper wire-rope lubrication module also makes lubricating a ship’s cables safe and effective, and eliminates waste.
The topic of safety, including respiratory equipment, is addressed extensively at Imbema Cleton via the PPE concepts. Our personal protective equipment guarantees safety when processing and handling of hazardous and non-hazardous raw materials during cleaning, general work on board, and in emergencies.
Imbema Cleton is also highly active in innovative hose and coupling solutions for the maritime sector. In addition to the operational security provided by our products, services such as our Flamingo app (check, administer and validate) make a unique contribution to increasing safety.
GREEN AWARD; THE PRIDE OF THE OCEANS
The Green Award programme to encourage cleaner and safer shipping has been in operation for maritime vessels since 1994. There are now ships, shipping companies and oil companies which have been voluntarily certified by Green Award all over the world. The Green Award Foundation is a non-profit organisation.
